You know, TMZ.com’s take on this, with the latest news from their well-placed sources, makes me feel sorry for Playboy Founder Hugh Hefner, who was left at the alter by Crystal Harris, just five days before the wedding. This is what TMZ.com reported:
Hugh Hefner was left at the altar because his 25-year-old fiancee Crystal Harris wanted two things — a bigger allowance and a career in the music biz. Sources close to Crystal tell us she was fed up with the “couple hundred dollar” weekly allowance she got from Playboy — and wanted to make her own cheese…We’re told Crystal purely focused on launching her music career — even with the wedding just days away.
Wow, the man must be devastated! I would be. The Twitter scape is abuzz with this news, even this late at night:

That last bit of news calls for more attention.
It seems that the 25-year old hottie was rumored to have hooked up with Dr. Phil’s son, Jordan McGraw, according to The Daily Mail. But Crystal Harris denies the news – what she going to do, confirm it?! But Harris reportedly said he relationship with Hugh will remain amicable, and in the wake of other reports that the two had an argument.
On her website, Cyrstal reported:
After much deep reflection and thought I have decided to end my engagement with Hef. I have the utmost respect for Hef and wish him the best going forward. I hope the media will give each of us the privacy we deserve during this time.

The question here is, if Crystal Harris wanted a music career rather than the few hundred dollars allowance, why not just tell him? Or, maybe she did, and he’s old fashioned? For all of his impact on American Culture, Hef may have some ideals that were beyond her range to deal with at 25.
Whatever the case, it’s a sad story.
