If you pay attention to politics and pop culture, you know that former Presidential Candidate and Senator John Edwards was indicted by the Federal Justice Department for allegedly using over $925,000 to cover up his affair and child with Rielle Hunter.
As I explain in the video, all of this started in 2006 when he met Rielle Hunter, and then commissioned her to make a web-based movie or “webisode” about Edwards on the campaign trail.
Then, in the August 2007 New York Post Page 6, it was cryptically said that a certain politician was visiting New York City to see his girlfriend who lived in Manhattan. Nothing came of that item until October, when the National Enquirer went public with it’s assertion that the person was John Edwards, and they had proof.
That same month Sam Stein at The Huffington Post, and this blogger at what is now called Zennie62.com, went public with the news Edwards problems, Stein first. Sam was altered to the issue when he noticed that the campaign movie I referred to was taken down from the Internet.
As the heat became too much for Edwards to bear, he eventually dropped out of the Democratic Primary on the eve of the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
The Case Worth The Time?
As to the worthiness of the case, I’m on the fence. Personally there are a lot of people who are just plain red-faced angry with how John Edwards treated Elizabeth Edwards, and in some way this is her very active ghost.
I’m not trying to be funny, here.
John Edwards may very well escape these charges, but it’s the first really public punishment he’s faced for his selfish actions against his wife and during the point of her life when she was deteriorating to death.
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, alive or dead.
