Maria Sharapova admits failed drug test in a press conference she held about an hour ago today.
The International Tennis Federation said she tested positive for Mildronate, which she has used since 2006, but was not banned until this year. It’s also called Mildronate and is used by the Russian Federation but not approved by the US Food and Drug Administration.
Maria had been talking the drug for magnesium deficiency, a family history of diabetes, and an irregular EKG.
