Denver police sergeant accused of beating teen with metal baton faces assault charge – The Denver Post

Sgt. Joseph Rodarte, a 20-year department veteran, was arrested Thursday night on suspicion of second-degree assault for allegedly beating the teen while on patrol in southwest Denver, the police department announced Thursday night in a news release.
