Once again, Zennie62.com – Zennie62Media is set to cover Comic Con in San Diego from July 17th to July 21st, and this is the 4th straight year of coverage for this growing media brand. We’re seeking sponsors for our coverage this year, and for a special event, too!
But, you may ask, what is Comic Con?
The San Diego Comic Con is one of the largest, if not the largest conventions in the World. It annually draws over 110,000 people with badges and a total of over 150,000 with or without them.
The five day event is billed as a “celebration of the popular arts” but really started as a comic book convention in San Diego in 1970. Since then it has steadily grown, but really started to reach the gargantuan size it has achieved in 2004, when attendance jumped from 70,000 in 2003 to 95,000 in 2005.
Demographically, Comic Con has become a family affair, as this video from the Star Wars Annual Meeting Of The 501st at 2011 Comic Con shows, with fans who dress in cosplay, bringing their families and kids.
A Special Zennie62 Meetup Event
I get a number of press releases, and also reach out to publicists, to set times to interview their celebrity clients. Well, this year in San Diego, I want to have one event where we invite guests and talk to them on live stream and tweet our photos, videos, and text about what’s happening.
