The 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards is history. Daniel Day-Lewis took home the Screen Actors Guild ‘Best Actor’ award for his amazing work as President Lincoln in Lincoln, meaning that the great thespian is a lock to land the Academy Award for the same category, next month.

The same goes for Jennifer Lawrence, who earned ‘Best Actress’ for her performance in Silver Linings Playbook – that she will get an Oscar is, from history, a certainty after the SAG Awards.

Alec Baldwin Scores For 30 Rock

And aside from Daniel Day-Lewis and Jennifer Lawrence, Alec Baldwin took home “Outstanding Performance By A Male Actor In A Comedy Series” for his work in 30 Rock on NBC. This is really well-deserved because Alec has really made the character of Jack Donaghy a TV exec who tries to be mean, but is really a nice person. Where the humor comes is in his attempts to be mean and cold and calculating, which at all times backfires.

Bryan Cranston Wins For Breaking Bad

The amazing run of Bryan Cranston, whom this blogger interviewed at The Night Of 100 Stars 2012…

Won the SAG Award for what can now be said is his presentation of the legendary Walter White in Breaking Bad. Bryan is arguably one of the greatest character actors of our generation. Cranston can play everyone from a drunk husband in Larry Crowne to Hal in Malcolm In The Middle, to the aforementioned Mr. White, and it’s hard to see the Cranston the man opposite the character in each role.
