Nelson Mandela, who’s tireless efforts transformed South Africa and set the path for a modern age of race relations, then became South Africa’s first black President in that country’s first democratic election in 1994, has a lung infection, but is reportedly responding to treatment. The 94 year old legend was admitted to a military hospital in the capital, Pretoria three days ago, but no one said why.
