In this latest Oakland News, word has it that Jane Brunner, who was resoundingly clobbered in her bid to be Oakland City Attorney by the current Oakland City Attorney, Barbara Parker, has a new job.
Jane Brunner will play The Emperor in Star Wars Episode 7.
In fact, to commemorate this achievement, if you will, this painting was commissioned, the one you see here, of Brunner in her new role. Kind of looks all emperor-ally, and all that.
Well Jane, thanks for many years of Oakland City Council service to the Oakland City Council District One population. You have scored a number of achievements, including the MacArthur Transit Village, whenever that gets done.
Now, I look forward to seeing you in Star Wars Episode 7. Lord Brunner sounds and reads much better than Palpatine, don’t you think.
