Trendistic, once the go-to site for this blogger’s analysis of Twitter Trends, is no longer opening up when one goes to www.trendistic.com. And Trendrr, once the alternative to Trendistic, is now a Social TV pay-for-service site that tells nothing about true Twitter Trends.

So, if you want to see how Twitter Trends change, where do you go? Do you use Twist? No, because Twist became Trendistic.

The bottom line is, unless it’s just not well optimized or as of now undiscovered, it’s impossible to find a free Twitter service that provided the deep, rich, historic Twitter Trend data that Trendistic provided. PeopleBrowsr calls itself “corporate intelligence” and at $149 per month, to start, it’s priced that way.

Moreover, I personally think that, as important as this information is in so many ways, it should be law that a company provide some kind of data analysis to go with it. That includes Google, Bing, and Yahoo Search, and Google News. The information on what people do should be more public than it is as of this writing.

Stay tuned.
